Ryan

Google drives the power of free better than anyone. My understanding is they plan to accelerate the growth of the Android mobile OS by giving third party developers 100% of the revenues from the app vs. the 70/30 split Apple uses at the App Store. I haven't researched this aspect yet, but imagine the migration of developers that could occur toward an open and free Android OS...Should be an interesting battle to watch.

I don't think anyone monetizes free better than google.

Also I was watching a panel of young adults discuss what they were willing to pay for online, not surprisinly the answer was close to nothing... but one thing surprised me, they claimed they would be more willing to give personal information than to pay. Which opens up another business model for "free" services... bundling and reselling personal data for marketing research, ect.
