Arkansas Patent of the Month for December

INOV8 continues to shake off the cold, even if it is sunny and 50 out today.

And what should fall free from our initial shake than Arkansas’ December patents and our recurring Patent of the Month post. Each month, we look back over the previous month and pick one Arkansas-issued patent that stands out a little and highlight it in the blog.

Patents are updated each Tuesday (yeah, each Tuesday, we’ll stick with that) right here. Check out the latest ones — 11 were issued this week alone.

December’s winner has to be the “doped semiconductor nanocrystals…” developed for the UofA by Xiangang Peng and Narayan Pradhan of Fayetteville (we’re guessing they’re not FROM Fayetteville…).

Check it out in detail here.

Xiaogang Peng is a professor of chemistry at UA: http://chemistry.uark.edu/1722.htm

I would say that qualifies him as just about as “from Arkansas” as I am. My parents are immigrants (Asian and European)…

    Just sayin’.

Oh yeah, without a doubt, we’ll claim him.
