BiologicsMD is running with the big dogs and ringing the big bells.
The UA startup, an IA client, has been rocking the international business-plan competition world of late, winning both the prestigious Rice University competition and the world-renowned Moot Corp competition at UT in Austin. The Moot Corp win came with prize money and a pretty cool perk — the opportunity to ring the Nasdaq closing bell in Times Square, which team members did on Friday.
(Funny thing. Biologics may be No. 1 in the world, but when it comes to Arkansas it was No. 2, finishing behind UA sibling InnerVision at the 2010 Governor’s Cup.)
Biologics team members are Robyn Goforth, Misty Stevens, Paul Mlaker and Michael Thomas.
More coverage of Biologics specifically and Arkansas’ explosion onto the business-plan stage is upcoming in Arkansas Business. Meanwhile, here’s video of Biologics at Nasdaq on Friday, courtesy of KFSM in Fort Smith/Fayetteville:
