Women Entrepreneurs Forum Set for Thursday in LR

The Junior League of Little Rock will host women business owners from across the state on Thursday for “Dialogue with Women Entrepreneurs,” a half-day seminar focusing on the economic factors affecting small business.

The forum will run from 8:30 to 10:30 on Thursday morning from the JLLR’s headquarters in the old Women’s City Club at 401 South Scott downtown, and unfortunately, registration is closed. (If it’s any consolation, it would’ve been free.)

According to a press release issued Tuesday, it will “bring together a cross section of Arkansas women business owners to discuss economic issues and what business tools they need to sustain their businesses.”

The event is being presented by the Institute for Economic Empowerment of Women and DonorsTrust, a non-profit whose mission is to “gain critical knowledge and input on economic subjects important to women-owned businesses and whar educational tools they need to help them grow their businesses.”

Terry Neese, founder and CEO of IEEW, along with local Realtor Martha McCaskill and CPA Phyllis Holifield are the scheduled speakers. The forum will include input from and discussion with local women business owners.

For more information (or perhaps to talk your way in), contact Becca Colbaugh of IEEW at 405-943-4474 or bcolbaugh@ieew.org
