As I sit here on this final day of 2011, it seems like a final grade card for my 2011 predictions is in order.

There’s a good reason Amazon and Apple have a horde of dedicated followers. I’m one of them. Yep, I’m a fanboy. Over the lifetime of Apple’s relationship with me and my family, they will more than make up for their couple of generous gifts used to retain me as a customer.

Is the iPad the next revolutionary, media-changing device that will reinvigorate “old media” and in the process kill the one-trick-pony e-reader, the Amazon Kindle?
